Crazy Idea for Endgame Play: Dino Prestige Levels

My idea may be a solution to 2 sources of potential irritation among some players. Personally, I really want normal dinosaurs to have the capability to be used in the arena alongside hybrids. Usually that comes as a disadvantage to your team, since they don’t have the varied kits and extra 4th move that hybrids have.

The other problem is that some players reach a point where they don’t really need to collect dna anymore, so the game becomes stagnant. Those huge stores of Concavenator and Sinoceratops need somewhere to go!

So my idea is this: When a non-hybrid is leveled to 26+ (maybe 30?), it can be prestiged for a permanent bonus. Prestiging a dino will reset it’s level to it’s rarity minimum. You can do this 3 times, each time for an increasingly high bonus cumulative to the previous tier, whether it is stats, new immunities, or additional skills.

On prestige 3, a massive accomplishment, your creature gains a 4th move (or 3rd move if it is common). To show off such an achievement, your dino’s in-battle bio will display a crown next to its name. Prestige stats are highlighted in red. A tier 3 creature in battle could perhaps display a purple sparkle aura around it or something. The explanation for all of it could be something like, “the more dna you collect, the more pure this animal’s genetics become.”

This is just another branch of this idea, but maybe once your creature has 2 or 3 Prestiges it’s hybrids require 50% less dna from that specific creature? Like if you prestige leveled Dimetrodon, you only have to use 100 a fuse instead of 200 for Magna; and 25 a fuse instead of 50 for Posti.

As a concept of the idea, I’ll do a rough draft of all epic creatures and what they may gain. My idea through these was to give their respective prestige bonuses as a reflection to what makes them unique, and how difficult it is to acquire their DNA. So Exclusive creatures receive marginally better gains. These aren’t perfect assuredly, but my interpretation of how they could become increasingly enhanced.

Is this something you guys would want in the game?

It wouldn’t be very accessible, but I love the idea!
Depends how it’s done though.
So this wouldn’t apply to hybrids, right?

This is a really neat concept. Would give people something to work towards on all levels.
Should only apply to non hybrids.

Yeah that’s why I was thinking 26 to prestige instead of 30. 30 is a lot of effort.

It does not apply to hybrids you are correct

If the dino gets reset at 26, what would be the point in levelling to 30 then? (apart from the final time)
I suppose it would make sense if you wanted to put them something your team temporarily.

Extremely beautiful concept idea.
An idea could be, to keep players working on these dinos, to start prestige at 28:

Lv 28 - First prestige tier
Lv 29 - Second prestige tier
Lv 30 - Final prestige tier

Lv 28 also because from that level the amount of dna to level up grows exponentially, giving some extra motivation to players

The way I’ve always understood it is that 26 is technically the max level, and going above that up to 30 is for the extra stats. It’d just be up to player choice if they wanted to pursue the prestige avenue. I’d assume some players wouldn’t go for the extra effort and see fit to take their creature to 30 as it stands.

If a player planned on prestiging at 26 there wouldn’t be any reason to waste dna and coin on going above that except for the final time. I’d assume ludia wouldn’t refund dna and coins if some did go above and decided to prestige later, but such is the way of business :man_shrugging:

This Idea Is Good But Seeing As All The Boost Backlash I Don’t Think It Will Stay A Good Idea In Game

Sarcosuchus

P2: +5 armor
P3: gains impact
Just an idea

I’m liking the Kapro prestige stats/move/ability.

A great idea but sadly would be abused and ruined by cheaters

Carnotaurus with Cloak? I mean, that’s sort of canon, and extremely cool!

I would like to prestige my Carbonemys so it works better in the immune world lol

Just added common ideas also

Instead of the creature resetting to its original level, you should only level it down by 10 levels. This is because getting a common to lvl 26 requires hundreds of thousands of dna and is hard enough to do once, let alone thrice. Otherwise, the stats should just stay the same and you can keep leveling it up. And prestige should cost 500,000 coins for the first time, then 1,000,000, and finally 2,000,000. Because this would be an OP change. Technically, the max lvl would be 80.
