Description:An InGen genetically modified hybrid. The Dimodactylus is a hybrid of two different pterosaur species, the pterosauroid Tupandactylus and the rhamphorynchid Dimorphodon. Unlike the Tupandactylus, which used it’s toothless beak to swallow fish and fruit, the Dimodactylus had a powerful toothed jaw inherited from Dimorphodon to shred and tear meat. The striking colours on it’s crest and wings are probably used for intimidation against enemies. While it may not be one of the biggest pterosaurs, this hybrid had an incredibly strong back, making it one of the most powerful wingbeats of all pterosaurs. It somehow also resembles the Tapejalosaurus, another pterosaur hybrid. Except that it is smaller and hunted in flocks rather than solo

The “morpho” from Dimorphodon isn’t there, so Dimodactylus probably means something like “double finger”.
Or “two finger”, which wouldn’t make sense as a name.
