Disarm observations

This has been brought up in other posts including made by me but I wonder if there is something wrong with “disarm” or if it is actually working as intended.

When heroes are disarmed they are allowed to counterattack and yet many times when my warrior is disarmed he can’t even taunt.

It’s seems weird to me that should someone be deprived of their weapon, which is what it means to be disarmed, they can get a counterattack during an enemies turn, but they can’t yell and call the enemy names to taunt them on their own turn.

I wouldn’t mind some sort of a counterattack that was weaker than the normal weapon and without any special abilities. Think of it like the weapon was lost or taken away but you were able to punch or kick back at an attacking enemy.
