My brother actually caught a Voltorb on Pokemon Go out in the ocean. His GPS acted up and sent his character walking into the ocean and it popped up.

I had a Spino G2 pop up in the middle of the ocean last year when my family and I went to the bahamas on a cruise. We had WiFi in our room, so I popped open the app and BAM Spino g2 in the middle of the ocean.
Threw me for a loop. I think the closest land mass was 400 miles away.
