Happy fossil day! :sauropod::t_rex::bone: I wish I had one to show off. I would love to get a tooth. :tooth:

Damn it. All of the fossils are at my parents house.

Could have shown off the massive ammonite (dinner plate size) me and my brother found near Charmouth in Dorset

I highly doubt it.

I also am awaiting a gift of coprolite from my parents.

I wish that was me. :pensive:

Not to cause controversy, but I have been reading that sales like the Stan fossil are very concerning to many scientists because they are worried about the potential to study them once they go into unknown private hands. What do all of you think?

Personally if I was the owner of Stan, I would definitely put it on permanent loan at a museum. I spent a lot of my childhood in museums and it was always a big highlight to see the dinosaur fossils. It still is for me today. :slightly_smiling_face::t_rex::bone:

Right, my owning this vertabrae is even a slight moral quandary for me. I mean, I could lend it to my local science museum, but I don’t even have any information about where it was found, etc.
