That is false; one of the best ways to get bucks are through trades (specifically apatosaurus fossils to dino bucks). From there, you get around 500 bucks per apatosaurus fossil.

Woohoo so you can get through trades.
Proper usage of the trade harbor is probably the best way but DB can also be obtained through PvP grinding. And then there is the Fidelity membership or just outright buying DB with real currency.
