If tied, what determines who wins recognition in the Alliance Missions

Some of us like to be overly competitive in things. One of them is trying to get our names in the Exploration and Defense alliance missions as the top contributor. In some cases, there will be a tie, but when that happens, the game has a logic pattern that determines who the top contributor is, and they get their name in lights, however briefly.
I thought tie winners, would be determined by who was the first to do the first action in a particular mission.
But now I am not so sure.
Is there some pattern? Could it be the first to do a mission in odd ranked number missions, and the last in even ranked number missions? Has anybody figured it out?

I always thought it was first one to achieve it

Yeah I believe it’s the first one to achieve it. Cause in the first day, when you just need two Daily incs, the first person who opens one gets the badge.

What @PQC and @Arnold said. Whoever gets there first wins the spot. It has always been that way to my knowledge.
