Basically, this idea features creatures that basically function the way gen 2’s do. They would canonically incomplete versions of a creature. The name would depend.

I think the biggest question to ask off the bat is: doesn’t incomplete mean unviable? Meaning it’s dead before adulthood? Otherwise you may as well call them “Gen 3” or “lost Gen”

Not exactly. In genetics it is possible to have an incomplete specimen still be alive and viable, like a human born without an arm
