Also try minimizing the game, then come back into it. More times than not, it’ll reconnect you and the battle will begin.

Yeah, I’ve had it hang both before the _________ VS _____________ displays and after.
Yeah I have too & that’s what I refer to a normal annoying time out , however once you get vs opponent screen if the game doesn’t start it’s usually a connection issue at the other players end
That’s a good point, they’re probably doing the same thing (hopefully) trying to get the connection back!
I don’t believe it’s my phone.
Playing my alt account on an ipad and getting the same thing.
I know it’s not my internet connection.

They posted it’s a known issue and are currently working on it last week. Minimizing helps sometimes . Not much else we can do
