Prehistoric info 9: Deinogalerix

Hello
Now Deinogalerix
Etymology: Terrible Galerix, Galerix being a genus of hedgehogs.
About: Deinogalerix was a giant hedgehog. It was a carnivore, eating insects, snails, small mammals, reptiles, and birds. It was hunted by Tyto gigantea, a giant barn owl. It lived in what is now Italy. The place it lived was probably an island as that is where it is exclusively found along with a few other things.

Iโ€™ve seen info about this prehistoric hedgehog in a book. Sheโ€™s related to the modern-day moonrat, if Iโ€™m not wrong. Would be funny to see her as a new addition to JWA.

The lived exclusively on Gargano, Italy that was an island in the miocene, alongside other weird creatures like Hoplitomeryx
