INTRODUCING...

Arctovasilas

Meet the bear king Arctovasilas, Alive’s first fusible Apex creature! Collect Arctovasilas by fusing DNA of its component creatures Arctalces and Testacornibus, then bring this Apex to Raids to give bosses a battle they won’t forget!

NEW CREATURES

JWA_Profile_Arctodus

Arctodus - Rare

The Arctodus, or short-faced bear, may be the largest mammalian carnivore to ever live on land in North America! This Pleistocene predatory scavenger could grow up to 12 feet tall! How do scientists know this? They’ve found Arctodus claw marks 15 feet up a cave wall in Missouri!

  • Arctodus is a Fierce and Resilient, Anti-Tank Tank.
  • Use Arctodus’ Defensive Edge to remove opponent shields and boost your own damage, then deal a devastating hit with Decelerating Impact or Heavy Strike!

JWA_Profile_Cervalces

Cervalces - Rare

The megafaunal cervid Cervalces is an ancestor of many modern deer. The reasons of this majestic herbivore’s extinction still remain unknown. It might have been over-hunted by ancient humans, or pushed out of its ecological niche by other, more modern herbivores! Further observation by the DPG is required.

Cervalces is a Resilient, Hit & Runner.
Swap to Cervalces to trigger an automatic heal. Deal damage while slowing or removing status effects with Cervalces’ Strike and Impact, then use Dig In to trigger another heal and outlast opponents!

JWA_Profile_Sil_Ankylomoloch

Ankylomoloch - Legendary
Hybrid Components: Bumpy + Stygimoloch

The cranial dome of the Ankylomoloch is believed to be the strongest of any Jurassic World creature. This is because this dome must hold up not only against headbutts, but the powerful club of other Anklylosaurs!

  • Ankylomoloch is a Resilient, Swap-In Tank
  • Swap to Ankylomoloch to trigger it’s Stunning Alert. Use Anylomoloch’s many negative status effects to slow and remove status increases, then deal heavy damage with their Impact or Rampage and Run!

JWA_Profile_Sil_Arctalces

Arctalces - Legendary
Hybrid Components: Arctodus + Cervalces

The antlers of the Arctalces grow slowly, never reaching the impressive size of those of its hybrid parent Cervalces. DPG specialists believe this is because, unlike a herbivore, the Arctodus does not need these antlers for jousting or defense. It prefers to use its claws and sharp teeth in such moments!

  • Arctalces is a Resilient, Anti-Tank Tank.
  • Swap back to Arctalces to trigger an automatic heal, and use Shielding abilities to outlast opponents while dealing Strikes and Impacts!

JWA_Profile_Sil_Arctovasilas

Arctovasilas - Apex
Hybrid Components: Arctalces + Testacornibus

The solitary ‘bear king’ Arctovasilas is a viciously territorial predator. After hunting, Arctovasilas caches its kill in an icy cavern den, patroling the perimeter constantly. No DPG specialist has yet set foot in one of these caverns to see what remains they might contain…

  • Arctovasilas is a Wild Card, Anti-Tank Tank.
  • Swap to Arctovasilas to trigger an automatic acceleration. Eliminate opponent’s defenses and mount your own with Arctovasilas’ shield and shield removing effects, then crush opponents with Shielded Devastation!

CAMPAIGN 2.0

More Missions, more mechanics, more rewards! Head to the Campaign tab in the Battle Menu to play a new and Improved Campaign!

The new Campaign offers missions designed to train DPG members on all the battle mechanics needed to thrive in the Arenas, including mechanics added to the game since the release of the original Campaign!

In order to improve player experience, we’ve reduced restrictions for entering Campaign missions and replaced others with recommendations.

Clear missions to move forward in your Campaign track. Each Campaign mission is organized within a Chapter, and now each Chapter is nested in a Campaign Course.

The new Campaign also has an additional difficulty! Once you complete a Chapter, you can come back to play it at a harder difficulty to earn more rewards!

Some missions also have Special Objectives! Accomplish these extra goals to earn more rewards and mark your Campaign mission cleared!

If you’ve made progress in the current Campaign and don’t want to lose it, don’t worry! Your progress will be maintained in Campaign 2.0. Finished the whole Campaign already? Good work! Now you’ve automatically completed all of the new Campaign’s Starter mode and unlocked Intermediate!

Head to the Campaign menu now to begin a whole new world of training!

WHAT'S IMPROVED

New Tournament Rules

You wanted more Tournament variety, and we listened!

In this update, new rules will focus on new restrictions for the creatures you can bring to Tournaments.

Beginning in January, we will implement new Tournament rules and restrictions to offer more variety of battles to our tournament players. Find out more in the Tournament Menu and on the Forum this January!

Creature Marker Improvements

We’re improving the visibility of Marked creatures in Sanctuaries!

  • The creature previews in the Shared Sanctuaries menu now sorts marked creatures to the top of the list
  • Sanctuary previews on the Map now sort marked creatures to the top of the list

Collection Improvement: “Create” Section

Creatures you have enough DNA to create will now be sorted to the top of your Collection. This section only appears when there is at least one creature ready to be added to your Collection. Close it by tapping the small arrow on the section header.

Scorpius rex Spelling Change

The spelling of Scorpius rex has been changed to Scorpios rex to be consistent with other Ludia titles.

Creature Rotation

The following creatures are exiting the Event-exclusive rotation and can now be found on the Map!

  • Nasutoceratops
  • Wuerhosaurus
  • Dilophosaurus

CREATURE UPDATES

Our analytics showed us that Argenteryx was outperforming other similar creatures within their rarity. Therefore we have decreased this creature’s Threatened state trigger on their Fearless Alert ability, which has now also become Precise. This will also decrease time spent in mirror matches with other Argenteryx.

Argenteryx

Abilities:
Fearless Alert: Threatened State trigger becomes 33% instead of 66%

ABILITY UPDATE

FEARLESS ALERT

Fearless Alert is now Precise.

COUNTER POWER HEAL

Counter Power Heal now restores 6% instead of 11% of Max HP.

WHAT'S FIXED

Bug Fixes & Known Issues

About 296 of those pesky bugs have been squashed in this 2.12 update! Here are a few of the most notable fixes that you are likely to enjoy:

  • GooglePlay will no longer display a reconnect prompt during Battle Victory screen.
  • Tournament banner images are once again visible on Android devices.

We’re currently working on solutions for the following issues:

  • In the new Campaign 2.0, an unlocked Chapter on the same course banner will lack animation when going from Chapter A to Chapter B. As well as difficulty completed/unlocked.
  • The tooltip stats information is not updated as soon as the associated buff/debuff has ended during a Raid.
  • Apple device players may receive offline / push notifications while online.
  • Raid invite push notifications are only in English.
  • Icons and buttons are all displayed on screen after a drone session or opening incubators on a 1 gig Apple device.
  • Expired DNA Donation Requests Remain in Alliance Chat.

A note on data collecting
We’d like to take a moment and thank everyone who has been participating in our numerous surveys and providing us with constructive feedback on our forums and social channels. We believe in player feedback and although changes rarely occur immediately, the very tangible data we collect, especially from our surveys, help guide us on our roadmaps and future optimizations.

it’s like ludia knows we want a boost reset, but they’ll wait for a large majority of people to quit and then they’ll be like “oh wait stop, here’s a boost reset”
