While not as adept at swimming as Koolasuchus, Koolascorpios is able to defend itself much more easily. Tough armor and a venomous stinger keep any would be predator at bay.

Hybrid Components: Meganeura+ Ovilophomoloch

Smaragdumoloch’s name means Emerald Demon, a title that certainly fits this insect. Patches of striking green on it’s body make it deceptively beautiful, but don’t be fooled, it is still a highly effective predator.

NEW ABILITIES

With 2.18 comes a new type of ability, armor increase, or “Tough” abilities! While shields already offer extra protection for resilient creatures, armor increase gives them a new form of defending themselves that can be useful against creatures specialized to remove shields, but not pass through armor.

Three new Tough abilities, Tough Intimidation, Tough Stance and Tough Brace are coming to Jurassic World with 2.18! Look out for more in future updates!

NEW RAID BOSSES

2.18 brings 2 new Raid Bosses!
Parasaurolophus Lux will enter raids starting Friday, August 5th.
Arctops will enter raids starting Friday, July 29th.

NEW CREATURE ROTATIONS

•The common Titanomyrma, Pulmonoscorpios, the rare Arthropleura, Albertosaurus, and the epic Meganeura are available on the Map!
•Watch out for Mazothairos, Koolascorpios, Sarcopluera, and Smaragdumoloch in Events and Offers!

WHAT'S IMPROVED

Fukuimimus

Although we acknowledge counters to flocks are a necessary part of the game, Fukuimimus has shown itself to be too strong in matchups with other creatures it is not intended to counter. To correct this, we are further specializing it to combat flocks.

Abilities:

• Remedy becomes Group Resilient Impact
• Swap In Distraction removed

• Health: 4800 to 4050

compsoraptor

Compsoraptor

Although only recently added to Jurassic World, analytics are showing Compsoraptor is performing too well in the current meta. Compsoraptor’s ability to run and swap in heal mechanic have been adjusted to help balance it.

Abilities:

• Rampage And Run becomes Group Cunning Impact
• Reinforcing Cower becomes Alert The Flock

Attributes:

Health: 3450 to 3300
Speed: 131 to 129
Distraction Resistance: 100% to 50%
Deceleration Resistance: 100% to 0%

diorajasaur

Diorajasaur

Diorajasaur has fallen behind in the meta due to advancing play styles and mechanics. In order to bring it back to the spotlight, it’s kit has been toughened up to take on the competition!

Abilities:

• Resilient Strike becomes Dispersed Superior Vulnerability
• Group Taunting Shields becomes Tough Intimidation

Attributes:

• Stun Resistance: 0% to 100%
Vulnerability Resistance: 0% to 100%
Deceleration Resistance: 0% to 50%

magnapyritor

Magnapyritor

Another old unique, Magnapyritor has also become outdated due to shifts in the meta and a lack of changes to itself. To make it live up to it’s name, we’ve given magnapyritor the fiery damage capabilities it needs to break into the higher arenas.

Abilities:

• Distracting Impact becomes Cunning Ferocious Strike
• Critical Obstruction added

Haast Maximus

Unlike other apexes, Haast Maximus has not been able to show it’s full potential. To allow it to become an option for players at any stage of the game, we have tweaked it’s abilities and stats.

Attributes

• Damage: 1550 to 1650
• Speed: 128 to 132
• Distraction Resistance: 75% to 100%
• Stun Resistance: 75% to 100%
• Swap Prevention Resistance: 0% to 100%

ABILITY UPDATES

• Bask: Cooldown 2 to Cooldown 3

• Cleansing Group Destroyer: Cleanse occurs after attack

• Darting Counter: Attack 1x to Attack 0.5x

• Nullifying Impact: Cooldown 2 to Cooldown 1

• Nullifying Rampage: Cooldown 2 to Cooldown 1

• Piercing Screech: Increase speed by 10% for 1 turn to increase speed by 25% for 2 turns. Increase crit chance by 20% for 2 turns to increase crit chance by 30% for 2 turns. Cooldown 3 to Cooldown 2

• Ravenous Rampage: Delay 1 to Delay 0

• Revenge Nullifying Rampage: Cooldown 2 to Cooldown 1

I tried to balance it out with low health and damage, which would give tanks plenty of chance to chew through it first. It does have a heal on escape but other than that there’s no Regen. I think I might switch Group Cunning Impact out for Restricted Group Distraction though, which means sarco and sucho are free to tear through it

I think arthopleura will be epic or a non hybrid legendary since he is the largest and so far only one of it’s kind. If there should be a rare it should be a gen 2

I would not recommend having absorb values above 3, it completely ruins dinos without a group move if they have to hit the ants at least 6 times(ignoring the fact that the ants can rally heal or distract).

I look forward to seeing this update with more insect hybrids though.
