FIRST RARE RAID BOSS

A new creature joins the rotation of weekly Raid Bosses!
Get ready to take on the Carnotaurus, the new Raid creature to make its debut in the Jurassic World!

Not only is the Carnotaurus the first Rare Raid Boss, it was designed with a 2-player team in mind. Don’t fret though as 4 players can still participate in the Rare Raid to maximise victory!.
More of them are coming!
With Rare Bosses, we want to make the raid boss accessible earlier to players. This is why raids are all unlocked after completing Chapter 3 of the campaign.

RAID BOSS SCHEDULE UPDATE

This updated schedule will be introduced into the game with the new creature as of the following date below:

Tuesday March 23rd - Carnotaurus

RAID BATTLES
  • A warning pop-up will appear when a player tries to fight a raid boss alone.

  • The Mammotherium raid boss’ Creature level has been reduced to 16.

RAID REWARDS

The contents of Raid incubators now depends on the player’s level to allow lower level players to start participating in raids.

CONTINENTAL CREATURES

Some new creatures are exclusive to certain parts of the world. You can share these creatures not only through a new feature detailed below, but also with Sanctuaries. We understand that the Continental Creatures are geolocation-based, but they are not meant to encourage players to travel long distances.

  • Intention: Encourage trading between players.

  • They are Epic, so expect them to be hard to find.

  • Details are shown in the Creature Page.

Continental Creatures can be attracted by Scent Capsules that are affected by location, such as Small Scent, Big Scent, Rare Scent, Epic Scent, Giga Scent

New achievements for collecting all 3:

Creature Continent
Stegoceras North and South America
Struthiomimus Europe
Rinchenia Asia, Africa, Oceania, Middle East

Tips:

Before creating the creature:

  • Sanctuaries: You can collect DNA from creatures placed by other players

Once created:

  • Donations: Request from your Alliance (or continue using Sanctuaries)

REQUESTING DNA
  • Cooldown on requests have gone from 3 hours to 6 hours.

  • Removed the daily limit on request (was previously limited to 2 requests/day). This means you can now request 3-4 times per day.

EPIC DNA SUNDAYS

Every Sunday, players can request DNA in their Alliance for 1 Epic creature.

  • Start: Sunday morning at midnight
  • Ends: Monday at 6AM

This feature uses local time. This means that it’s possible, if an Alliance is spread over multiple time zones, that players will start to see DNA Requests from Alliance mates but cannot request them for themselves just yet.

The Request button will show an orange header “Epic DNA”.

Players can request a non-epic creature if they want to. If they do so, they can still request an Epic assuming it’s still Sunday.
If players do not request Epic creatures in the allowed timeframe, the Epic request window is closed. It cannot be done later in the week, nor can they be accumulated/stacked.

Donating:

  • Players can donate to multiple Epic requests. No limit on donations.

Note: The existing limit on coins received from donating is still in place, but the limit is quite high and scales by player level.

  • For every Epic DNA donated, receive 20 coins.

Notification

  • Push notification at 8 AM every Sunday to remind you.

DONATING DNA

We changed some things in the way donating DNA works in Alliance:

  • The amount players can donate now scales based on their Player Level (it used to scale based on the amount of DNA requested). This means more consistent numbers: players always donate the same amount.

  • Can donate up to 2 times per different request (was previously 5).
The amount of DNA players can donate per donation has been adjusted so that the total amount that could be donated remains the same.
We did this so that it takes less taps to donate the maximum, since a large portion of the player population donate until they’ve hit the max.

  • Donating Rare DNA now gives slightly more coins: It went from 3 to 4 coins/DNA

SANCTUARIES

Some creatures have changed their Sanctuary Placement Level.
Why? The Placement Level is intended to reflect how easy/hard the creature is to find in the game. These modifications are to reflect some of the recent distribution changes that have occured from previous updates.

JWA_SanctuaryPlacement1 JWA_SanctuaryPlacement2 JWA_SanctuaryPlacement3

GEOLOCATION
  • We’ve slightly increased wild creature spawning for your enjoyment.

  • View distance for Common creatures changed to 300m (was 250m).

REDUCED DAMAGE

Being uncertain of a battle situation can be damaging! That’s why we’ve decided to replace the word “Distraction” with “Reduced Damage” in most areas of the battle interface. This change was made to help players identify when damage reduction effects are active. Distraction is still included in the title of many abilities that have damage reducing effects, and there have been no mechanical changes to the effects of damage reduction.

BUGS & KNOWN ISSUES

About 136 of those pesky bugs have been squashed for 2.6! Here are a few of the most notable fixes that you are likely to enjoy:

  • While inside a Raid battle, the speed priority rules are not followed for Apex creatures.
  • Filter menu button in the Achievements section is missing the filter activated indicator.
  • Raid Boss may disappear if you dart a creature within its radius.

Known Issues:

Following the last update (2.5), the team became aware of a few issues that had been addressed. If you’ve missed it, check them out HERE.

Here are are some known issues still in the works:

  • Players may not be unable to make EPIC DNA requests between 12:00 AM and 1:00 AM on Sundays.
  • Raid Boss hit boxes are too large.
  • Apple device players may receive offline / push notifications while online.
  • Raid invite push notifications are only in English.

Icons and buttons are all displayed on screen after a drone session or opening incubators on a 1 gig Apple device.

A note on data collecting
We’d like to take a moment and thank everyone who has been participating in our numerous surveys and providing us with constructive feedback on our forums and social channels. We believe in player feedback and although changes rarely occur immediately, the very tangible data we collect, especially from our surveys, help guide us on our roadmaps and future optimizations.

Dinosaurs! We get actual dinosaurs in an update! It’s been so long.

Oh yeah ! I am so excited for it epic dna !

Also no hybrid for me once again… c’mon ludia! It can’t be that hard to give an old hybrid a superhybrid that they deserve!

Me: sees a nerf on indominus

Also me: notices it’s a nerf that makes no difference

Uhh, hello, where’s that monolometrodon nerf. It appears to be missing…

Coming never

Hmmmmm, they were all actually epic dinos, never would have seen that coming

I like this overall, a few things caught me off guard though like epic dna donations and geological spawns, and the fact that there’s no metrodon nerf
As well as the rare raid

Interesting. No new uniques so does that mean the next championship will be a repeat?

Well done Ludia. No changes to Monolo & Sarco. But you did give some needed buffs, and added a new raid so a great update overall. Very exciting.

May I also add, this is the first time 4 new DINOSAURS were added in one update since 1.1… almost 3 years ago!

Maybe. This might be due to the fact that the Testacornabis tournament kinda flopped.

Very well done. This is the best update we’ve received since 1.6. Now we only need Raid Lobby Chat and Monolometrodon nerfs, but with the amount of content we got here, I’m fine with waiting for those.

Another new raid boss :sob: really? We need less raids, not more. Or at least spread them out over weekends.
The regionals are a terrible idea.
Some interesting ideas though

Three rather dull updates in a row… lesson: don’t put ur hopes up too high

So… no arena rebalancing, even if swap/swap creatures are out of control…
Geo-locked creatures because this is what the community has been apparently asking for…

And then good donation feature changes that no one is gonna be talking about because the arena experience is still gonna be mayhem.
No news about a new reshuffle either…

The update looks good, besides from the continental thing and the FAST rate updates come in JWA
