INTRODUCING FLOCKS

Tiny creatures have made their way into Jurassic World Alive in the form of flocks! Flocks are groups of 3 creatures who work as one in battle! Each flock counts as one member of your team.

Flock creatures have some special attributes that make them valuable in Battle:

Absorb:

With Absorb, flocks can withstand powerful attacks and keep fighting, only losing one flock member at a time! But watch out for group attacks, these can take out an entire flock at once!

Rally:

With Rally, flocks can call a new member into the fray after one is defeated! But remember, regular healing abilities cannot trigger a Rally!

This Update’s flock creatures are:

  • Dodo
  • Compsognathus
  • Compsognathus GEN 2
  • Dodocevia
  • Compsocaulus

NEW CREATURES

JWA_Profile_CompsognathusGEN 2

Compsognathus GEN 2 - Rare

Compsognathus GEN 2 is a genetic variant of the Epic Compsognathus. While not quite as fast, this flock creature’s many Alert Abilities make it a supportive member of your team!

  • Compsognathus GEN 2 is a Cunning Hit & Run Expert.
  • Use Compsognathus GEN 2’s Swap Prevention to pin opponents, and nullifying effects to break them down!

JWA_Profile_Dodo

Dodo - Epic

The Dodo is a large, flightless bird that didn’t go extinct until it was exterminated by humans in the 1600s! But the Dodo is far from helpless, this flock creature packs a powerful peck!

  • The Dodo is a Cunning Reinforcer.
  • Use the Dodo’s Protective ability to reduce opponents’ damage, then hit-hard with a sacrificial Alert Decoy if the flock has enough HP to survive it!

JWA_Profile_Compsognathus

Compsognathus - Epic

Each member of a Compsognathus flock might be small, but they’re still dangerous. Some missing members of Peter Ludlow’s expedition on Isla Sorna in Jurassic Park: The Lost World are suspected victims of ‘Compy’ swarms!

  • Compsognathus is a Cunning Swarmer.
  • Swap to Compsognathus to reinforce your own Flock’s HP and chance to Dodge. Use Compsognathus’ Cunning and Taunting abilities to remove or reduce your opponent’s positive effects!

  • Dodocevia is a Cunning Hit & Run expert.
  • Use Dodocevia’s targeted and Group Distraction to reduce opponents’ damage, then hit-hard with a Sacrifice ability if the flock has enough HP to survive it!

Compsocaulus - Unique
Compsognathus + Diplocaulus GEN2

Welcome Compsocaulus, Jurassic World Alive’s first Unique creature with non-hybrid components! Some DPG members call this flocking hybrid ‘the arrowhead,’ for obvious reasons. Make sure to keep the Compsocaulus in your ‘quiver,’ as this tiny creature is especially useful against other flocks!

  • Compsocaulus is a Cunning Swarmer.
  • Swap to Compsocaulus to trigger its Swap in Distraction, then use its nullifying effects, Dodge and Group Distractions to outlast opponents.

NEW ABILITIES

Flock creatures have come with a new ability set: Alert Abilities. Alert abilities have different effects based on the flock’s total remaining HP, which we represent in how many flock members are still fighting. For instance, if the flock has 3 out of 3 members still fighting, its Alert ability will be in the Secure state. If the flock dips to 2 or 1 member, the Alert ability’s Threatened state will trigger. Remember, some other creatures now have Alert abilities too, with a threshold in their total HP deciding between Secure and Threatened states!

WHAT'S IMPROVED

Onboarding Improvements

Based on player feedback, we’ve improved the Campaign Interface and Raids Unlock flow.

  • Now players can jump directly from the Campaign creature selection screen to their roster to evolve their creatures.
  • Now players can’t see Raids on the Map until they complete Campaign Chapter 2.

CREATURE UPDATES

Players have noticed the win rates for Monolometrodon and Sarcorixis have been exceeding others in their rarities, devaluing comparable creatures. We’ve taken a look and confirmed this is true, so both have been adjusted. If you’ve played strategically and invested boosts on either of these creatures, don’t worry-- a free Stat Boost Shuffle event is on its way!

WHAT'S FIXED

Bug Fixes & Known Issues

About 213 of those pesky bugs have been squashed in this Update!

Following the last update (2.6), the team became aware of a few issues that had been addressed. If you’ve missed it, check them out HERE
We’re currently working on solutions for the following issues:

  • Raid Boss hit boxes are too large.
  • Apple device players may receive offline / push notifications while online.
  • Raid invite push notifications are only in English.
  • Icons and buttons are all displayed on screen after a drone session or opening incubators on a 1 gig Apple device.

A note on data collecting
We’d like to take a moment and thank everyone who has been participating in our numerous surveys and providing us with constructive feedback on our forums and social channels. We believe in player feedback and although changes rarely occur immediately, the very tangible data we collect, especially from our surveys, help guide us on our roadmaps and future optimizations.
