This prehistoric flying lizard is actually more of a glider! Thin bones growing from the side of Coelurosauravus’ body support wing-like membranes which allow this tiny creature to ride the air when leaping between trees!

Once thought to be the earliest bird that ever lived, Archaeopteryx’s name means “ancient wing.” Though tiny, this bird plays a giant role in the history IDSof science, helping to prove the theory of evolution only two years after Darwin’s On the Origin of Species was first published!

  • Archaeopteryx is a Cunning Distraction Dodger.
  • Use Archaeopteryx’s Absorb and Dodge to outlast high damage opponents. Archaeopteryx’s Cleansing abilities will also allow you to remove negative status effects.

Megalonyx - Rare

This giant ground sloth only went extinct about 11,000 years ago! Early humans may have had something to do with it, since cut-marked bones of Megalonyx in Ohio indicate it was hunted by Ohioan Paleo-Americans!

  • Megalonyx is a Cunning Damage Reducer.
  • Use Megalonyx’s Camouflage abilities against fast or high damage opponents to increase your speed and chance to Dodge while dealing damage first. Megalonyx’s counter-attack will also make sure you deal damage on every attack Megalonyx receives and survives.

Unlike its hybrid parent Coelurosauravus, the Coelhaast can not only glide on its wings, but also flap them to achieve true flight! It inherited this trait from the powerful Haast Eagle!

  • Coelhaast is a Wildcard Jack of all trades.

WHAT'S IMPROVED

AR Improvements

Time for another photoshoot!

Head to the Lab and open up AR to find the new options menu, containing Smart Placement and Brightness options.

Smart Placement:

  • Use Smart Placement on applicable devices to position creatures according to different objects in the real world!

Brightness:

  • Increase the brightness on creatures to make sure they always look their best!

New and Returning Player Experience Improvements

We always want to make sure new and returning players have an excellent experience in Jurassic World Alive!

  • New players will now have a slightly longer tutorial when they start the game to help them better understand what they should do first.
  • Returning players will now receive news in their News Center recapping features they may have missed and offering advice on what to do next in the game.
  • Other small adjustments have also been made to improve the user experience of returning players.

ABILITY UPDATES

In this update, we revised the mechanics associated with Resilient class abilities.

Resilient creatures have the potential to overly dominate the battlefield because they have access to slowing behaviours, which can take over the time-based battle system. In order to make this class more balanced with others, we replaced the slowing behaviours in Resilient class abilities with vulnerability-inducing behaviours. This makes sure that Resilient creatures remain a foil to Cunning creatures and also still pose a threat to Fierce creatures, but are not predominant in the overall class meta-game.

CREATURE UPDATES

Because we have put more focus on vulnerability in Resilient abilities, we needed to adjust several creatures’ vulnerable resistances. We also updated some Resilient creatures’ abilities to make sure they stayed true to their original use in Battle! Finally we took the opportunity to touch up a few creatures that were underperforming or overperforming based on our analytics and player feedback!

  • The Dart inventory limit has been increased from 140 to 350.
  • Darts given in the Daily Free Incubator have been increased.
  • An option to disable vibration for new creatures spawned on the Map has been added to Settings.

WHAT'S FIXED

Bug Fixes & Known Issues

About 181 of those pesky bugs have been squashed in this 2.9 update! Here are a few of the most notable fixes that you are likely to enjoy:

  • Scorpius rex GEN 3’s in-game model has been fixed
  • Bottom of the page will no longer display a copyright string 2021 Google on Apple ipad Pro
  • When looking at creature card collection, you can now scroll outside of the layout grid again

We’re currently working on solutions for the following issues:

  • Raid Boss hit boxes are too large.
  • Apple device players may receive offline / push notifications while online.
  • Raid invite push notifications are only in English.
  • Icons and buttons are all displayed on screen after a drone session or opening incubators on a 1 gig Apple device.
  • Expired DNA Donation Requests Remain in Alliance Chat
  • Tooltip stats information are not updated as soon as their associated buff/debuff has ended in Raids

We’d like to take a moment and thank everyone who has been participating in our numerous surveys and providing us with constructive feedback on our forums and social channels. We believe in player feedback and although changes rarely occur immediately, the very tangible data we collect, especially from our surveys, help guide us on our roadmaps and future optimizations.
