Stength vs Dexterity

One of the greatest debates of all TIME!

In WoWaterdeep there really isn’t any choice there since you’re using premade characters and items don’t affect stats directly… however if we’re talking more general D&D, I think a Dex-based character with a Finesse weapon can perform as well as a Str-based combatant (making up for a lack of big die weapons with sneak attacks, flanking, etc.), and Dex is probably overall more useful in general dungeon exploration… initiative, AC, attack/damage, Dex is used for everything… lastly a low Str can be temporarily compensated for with an emergency potion of Giant Strength, which a comparably low Dex cannot.

Really good points Salvidrim. We are asking a general D&D question.
