I get this error ALL THE TIME. This evening on a 20 minute walk, every time I turned the screen off and on again, the game would give me this error. And Reconnect doesn’t work, which of course means I have to restart the game (and reconnect with Google Play Games) which always takes ages. So frustrating.
All of the error numbers mean nothing but connection issues amirite!
