Bonus question(to be answered in the comments):

Why do you prefer the tournament you chose in Q1 more than the other option?

Thank you for your time and feel free to comment below your explanations for your choices as well. If there is anything I missed out, please let me know and I will improve on it in the next survey. Thank you!

I prefer skill because:

  1. I cannot get enough DNA for some critters, which means I’ll almost always be at a disadvantage.
  2. I focus my coins, boosts, and DNA on my arena team.
  3. Allows me to test drive new creatures.

What I hate about skill tournaments:
Speed ties. I almost never win them because I’m in an eastern-European country (Romania).

I prefer skill because

  1. I prefer the rewards from these types rather than advantage
  2. Lets me use new creatures/creatures I’d never use/creatures that are too under leveled
  3. Gives me a chance to do well. Especially since I’m under leveled compared to players in my arena

I prefer skill because the people like me who do not spend money have an equal chance as those who do

My responses.

  1. I prefer Skill tournaments as the fairest of the options. Everyone in the same boat. Perfect.

  2. I like them all equally. Simply put whatever the reward I’m fine with it.

  3. They are fun, less frustrating and I like the prizes.

  4. I claim my ten and try to get some points for the Alliance, but unless you are a very competitive player (which I’m not), you won’t get far. I get my ten and while I might try again here and there, I effectively retire at that point.

  5. I pick some creatures that I figure will do well.

  6. I simply do them to help my Alliance as best I can. Otherwise I probably wouldn’t bother.

  7. Overpowered and overboosted creatures are the biggest problems. Speedties come a close second.

  8. Nerf and buff. Balance out the creatures in general and the game would benefit as a whole.

  9. No. I prefer the Arena simply because I can play what I want - my theme team of the week.

  10. I don’t think it made much difference to be honest. I could be wrong but I don’t think so,

Bonus question is answered as part of #1. I just prefer a more fair and balanced tournament where everyone has a chance to climb up the leaderboard.

Because when you’re on equal ground, speedties and (usually mild) RNG aside, the battle system in this game is actually pretty fun. And the battles actually make you think about what move you’re using.

Advantage tournaments, however, are just another way to show who spent the most money on the game. If I wanted to see that, I’d go into the regular arena. That being said, take off the boosts and they could be interesting.

One thing that does annoy me: Every DNA tournament is advantage. I struggle to get a lot of specific DNA, so constantly losing these (whilst gaining millions of coins and thousands of HC) is frustrating.

I prefer Skill tournament because of the fun and able to use different creatures.

I prefer advantage because it’s the only way to use some creatures that I wouldn’t use otherwise. I spent some of my boosts on epic , rare and common creatures so they can perform great in advantage tournaments.

i like both tournaments, but prefer skill over the current advantage tournaments. advantage is too much like the arena atm and if wanted to break my phone, i would try for better placement and incubators in the arena. at least those rewards are substantial.
