  • The name, Hesperosaurus, means “Western Lizard”.

  • There was theories that Hesperosaurus, like all stegosaurs, used their plate for either defense or to cool down.

  • Despite resembling Stegosaurus, Hesperosaurus was more closely related to another member of the Stegosauridae family called Dacenturus

The way the sentence is worded. “Despite being a stegosaur, Hesperosaurus was related to another member of the Stegosaurs family called Dacenturus”. It makes it sound like they’re from a second group like how Nasutoceratops is more related to Styracosaurus than to Triceratops but they are both from the suborder Stegosauria and the family Stegosauridae. It should be read as something like “Despite resembling Stegosaurus, Hesperosaurus was more closely related to another member of the Stegosauridae family called Dacenturus.”

I’ll change it
