It took me three hours to find two this evening.

Same here. In the end just darted Ankylosaurus (where I was planning to split them) and got my 2nd Unique just now though. Dioroja.

If you see green pods with no dinos then someone else got them first.
Thats not how it works. Sometimes there just is no spawn.
