Will Pterovexus receive a buff in 1.9?

It is still pretty unusable lol. It should have either nullifying rampage or distracting rampage. It doesn’t have a good attack stat. Lack of a rampage move as a unique Dino also hurts. So plz give that poor bird a little buff

Totally agree. It and Stigydaryx also really need a damage boost to make them even somewhat viable in the meta. It’s not like a boost to 1400 damage would make them overpowered given neither has any 2x damaging abilities.

Stigy might also do better with Long Protection over Instant Invincibility, sort of as a way to keep it alive after swapping into a Cloaked Indom/Erlidom, but that’s just my opinion.

To me, a moveset that consists of distracting impact and nullifying rampage would make sense. Distracting impact makes sure it survives one big hit on turn 1 then it can hit the opponent back with nullifying rampage on turn 2. If the rampage move has to be pinning rampage I wouldn’t mind either tbh.
Of all the uniques, pretty much only pterovexus doesn’t have a rampage move. Plz seriously consider giving it a rampage move @Ludia_Developers. Make it useable for those who love it!

Stugidaryx is more of a bleed specialist.
The other two counter attackers don’t really need one. Pterovexus’ moveset is more embarrassing I think. But thanks for pointing out that pterovexus isn’t the only one.

Stygidaryx is pretty terrible too. I has no offense to speak off unless you manage to bleed and it’s kit isn’t even good at that… Spinotasuchus is not a great dino but if you run into an immune creature it at least has one good offensive move Stygi has Superiority Strike. A bleed and shield bird sounds nice but the dinos you would like to bleed (mostly higher HP armored dinos) like Tryko and Dio, Tho or Monostego all hit so hard and handle shields…you pay dearly for applying a bleed and swooping.

Think both birds need significant rethinking.

Yeah it really needs a buff. For the kit I think it would be better with Evasive strike, Distracting impact, Definitive rampage(Darwin has dsi and mono has null so why not?) and lethal swoop(or just keep swoop if this is too op)

I am all for buffs but please don’t make the flyers another copy of generic moveset. If they are meant to be swapper / bleeder, keep their identity.

I don’t have Pterovexus unlocked yet, but I’m hoping for a buff for Stygidaryx tbh.

I just noticed that Darwezopteryx has DSI too. It inherited it from Darwinopterus. so I think it’s probably a good idea to give Stygidaryx DSI so it’s capable of dealing some damage even when facing immune creatures.
For Pterovexus, like one of the comments above mentioned, Darwinopterus has DSI and Monomimus has nullifying impact, giving Pterovexus definite rampage sounds pretty reasonable. Like what was mentioned in the patch notes, Pterovexus was meant to cause a lot of annoyance when faced. The vex in its name is better justified if it’s capable of dealing more damage imho. Giving it a rampage move is a buff to it, but also won’t make it as op as Thor anyway. I really hope Ludia sees this lol :joy:

You must not have gotten the memo. Birds not the word anymore unless the word is “sucks”. Anything that has to do with monomimus is going to be garbage as well since Ludia hates mono. Birds are pretty much 100% useless even though i wish they had a fair shot at least. Every bird has a massive weakness, they dont do anywhere near enough damage to be viable. Or they are too slow or have too low of a health pool.
