How is Alpha 06 behaving for everybody else? She is giving me a rough time. She won’t do the traditional 3-block attack. I have her at level 32 now.
She always leads with 2 attack. Her second attack varies between 0, 1, and 2 attacks. Her third attack is almost always no attack, and then her fourth attack is almost always 5. After that, it goes all wonky. Long and short, I’m burning through dinobucks because I can’t get her on the old three-block repeat pattern. Anybody else?
Only issue I have had that was weird is it took 16 completed events to get the 10 needed for the first day. A little bit of a rip off, unless some don’t count toward daily goals.
@Andy_wan_kenobi, @Tommi, thank you for letting me know. Doggone it. That’s another dock against Ludia. Improvement has not exactly been a uniform theme for this game during my absence.

Agreed, but let’s be honest. This old boss behaviour was so stupid and predictable, I can understand why they corrected it.
What’s much more annoying for me is that they removed dinobucks as reward for high damage missions. Together with the corrected boss behaviour I can see now absolutely no motivation to complete them.
And if many of other players think the same it will be much harder for the community to complete a boss event.
It seems that my boss event is over now.
My game crashed in the middle of a fight. From that point on my boss always starts with zero health. Attacking him has no effect and his attacks have no effect on me. The only way to stop a fight is to surrender via menu.
I can complete the non damage missions now very easy with my weakest dinos but these are not really interesting. I’m afraid that my boss will never reset again, my apologies to all of you that I obviously can no longer contribute anything to our objective.
The World Boss was a great event to farm DNA for, but the trade-off isn’t worth it if it doesn’t do the three-peat behavior. Yeah, I’ll trade 5 dinobucks and ten minutes of button-clicking to get a 300 DNA reward. But I’m not going to trade 30 dinobucks, twenty minutes, and 18 creatures’ cool-down to get 300 DNA. Not worth it.
Bummer. These world boss events suddenly got much less attractive.
I totally agree @HanSoloWannaBe. I can see where the old infinite boss pattern that let us grind literally for HOURS on these missions might not be something Ludia wanted to keep going, but once the boss gets to a point where my dinos are completely overmatched, the cost just isn’t worth it for just DNA rewards. A far better way to do it was when they just made the boss randomly break out of the pattern so that you never knew when it might end. Now, you know you’re going to be dead VERY quickly.
I try to at least get them the first day, but right now, I have some missions that almost certainly would take several rounds to complete, the DB cost just becomes too much for a relatively small sDNA reward.
I actually prefer the boss matches now.
I go with two donkeys and one big hitter.
If I reserve first (lose 1st donkey), then block x 2 and reserve 1, then reserve 4 (lose second donkey). Nine times out of ten I can get an 8 hit off and do enough damage to complete the mission.
I do enjoy the fact that I no longer have to or am able to grind in a single match for long periods of time. It is actually not that many more Dino Bucks this way than the old way. If you have to do 40 more matches compared to the old way you are only going to spend an additional 200 Dino Bucks. I am more bummed about the removal of the DB from the boss events but don’t think much of it since I can’t change that, only my reaction to it.
