Yet another thread on how to buff the forgotten tanks

Stegodeus, Nodopatotitan, Gigaspikasaur and Tragodistis. All creatures that were once at least pretty useful in the arena, but aren’t very good any more, at least, not relative to the newer Legendaries.

Being Legendary Superhybrids, they probably ought to be among the best of the Legendaries, but they are obviously not, and have nothing on the newer Legendaries. Superior Vulnerability helps, but not very much.

Now, there’s definitely other ways of buffing these creatures, but just entertain my idea for a second here.
A new debuff, called Dazed.
It has very little to do with Stun, and more to do with Evasion.

Any dino with the Dazed debuff would have a 75% chance to deal 66% less damage, the equivalent of a disoriented creature missing an attack.

This debuff would be added to moves like Thagomizer and Bellow, and could have a move or two of its own to go on Trago and Giga.

This would allow them to better deal with the insane amount of damage creatures like Entelomoth and Indoraptor G2 can dish out after being Decelerated and using Mutual Fury, and just overall do better against speedsters.

Of course, some of their counters, like Allosinosaurus, Tyrannolophosaur, Tenontorex, Thoradolosaur, etc could get Immunity to being Dazed.

So, what do y’all think?

It sound like a good idea that ludia will never add.

“Dazed” is a nice idea, however I think new creatures should gain it instead. These tanks are buffable without introducing new mechanics.

Considering they all have Apato DNA, they should have even more HP. Considering they all have Nodo DNA, they should have SV as a basic move.

Now take a more precise look at all of them:

  1. Nodopato should have Precise Impact. Doesn’t make much sense, but it would really help him against dodgers, like Procerat
  2. Stegod should have Precise Rampage, an improvement for Nodopato’s Precise Impact. Maybe .25 counter too
  3. Gigaspik should have Precise Rampage too. He should also have Decelerating Rampage, from Amarga
  4. Noodle should have Decelerating Rampage too, considering Giraffatitan has Rampage. Decelerating Impact+Rampage=Decelerating Rampage (move equations, lol). Swap in Slow and 20% crit chance would make sense too

Let me know what you think!

Maybe add Vulnerability to their counter-attacks instead, that way they don’t have to use their basic move every time.
As long as they don’t get so high stats that they start beating the chompers they’ll probably be fine.

But in all seriousness, it wouldn’t even be broken. It’s just a worse version of maxima but easier to create and level. Maybe give it 1200 damage and DSR for good measure

As not-broken as that seems, I think DSR is becoming too common these days. Shields will become irrelevant. They sort of are already.

Maybe some creatures (idk which exactly) should exchange defense shattering moves for defense bypassing moves, something like precise - they would bypass effect (shield in this case) without removing it.
