The thing about that kit is that ferocity stacks. Mega is gonna be doing 2250 damage on a counter attack, and that’s not even accounting for any additional attack used on that turn.

Megalosuchus needs more speed! It’s slower than ankylosaurus for Pete’s sake. It needs 118 speed at the lowest.

I don’t use Meg, but I don’t see it as the wrecking ball Gorg is. It’s going to be taken out, and not necessarily after landing a big hit, so I added Exploit Wound as a way to increase damage and leave a mark on whatever takes it out.
LDS is a better Short Defense, and Definite Impact isn’t OP but allows it to counter Evasive and break through Shields, like the current moveset.
It probably deserves an Immunity to make up for losing cleanse, but Immune to stun, while being perfect for a counter-attacker, might be a little too convenient, if you know what i mean.

Alternatively,
Long Defensive Strike
Ferocious Shattering Strike (datamined, it’s basically Ferocious Strike without a cooldown, and yes, it stacks)
Cleansing Strike
Definite Impact
AP 1x counter

This build would be more multipurpose, kinda like a crocodilian version of the OG Monostego, with a number of different turn 1 choices. Perhaps 119 speed would be appropriate, so it’s faster than Sarcorixis, but still slower than Gorg. On the occasion it managed a revenge kill, this version would be able to dish out some serious damage, if not one-shotted. Fitting for a Gorg hybrid.

I kinda like Meg the way he is now, but if I had to change him then these are two different builds I thought of; #1 Ferocious Counter-Attacker Stat Changes; Health; 4440 -> 4770, Damage; 1000 -> 1300, Speed; 115 -> 110, Critical; 5% -> 15%, Armor; 0% -> 5%. Skill Changes; Define Strike -> Define Strike, Ferocious Strike -> Ferocious Impact, Defense Shattering Impact -> Define Rampage, Short Defense -> Precise Pounce. Armor Piercing Counter -> Rending Counter. Gains Immunity To Stuns. Gains Immunity To Distractions.

#2 All-Out Cannon Stat Changes; Health; 4440 -> 3680, Damage; 1000 -> 1900, Speed; 115 -> 109, Critical; 5% -> 20%, Armor; 0% -> 10%. Skill Changes; Define Strike -> Rending Strike, Ferocious Strike -> Deliberate Prowl, Defense Shattering Impact -> Definite Rampage, Short Defense -> Instant Invincibility. Armor Piercing Counter -> Defense Shattering Counter. Gains Immunity To Distractions. Gains Immunity To Stuns. Gains Swap-In Heal.
